Craft Victoria collaboration with Dylan Martorell
Friday, August 7, 2009
Sunday Morning had a crazy July,
we had 4 major events on;
End of the World Souvenir Shop at Headquarters and This is Not a Design Festival, both part of State of Design Festival
as well as Instyle trade fair
AND a collaborative exhibition with Dylan Martorell (who does the amazing illustrations for us) at Craft Victoria.
The show is running till the 22nd of August so check it out at 31 Flinders Lane, Melbourne if you get the chance,
Dylans mushrooms will be growing day by day in a structure that he created in gallery 3 at the back of Craft Vic and which Sunday Morning designs have covered in a colourful patchwork of reused tarps and market bags.
We have also done the window which features our new lamps and cushions and a big curtains all made from the patchwork textile we have developed as well as more mushrooms, potato plants and rye from the garden of dylan!
see more images on his website http://www.hiddenarchive.com/
Phew - now its August we can breathe freely and celebrate!

End of the World Souvenir Shop-Headquarters
Sunday Morning are currently working against a loudly ticking clock to bring you their latest range - Furnishings for the Emergency Shelter. These products are designed to make living through disaster more comfortable (and lets not be coy - more attractive) and can continue to be created after the fall from the debris of disaster areas. Many items have dual purposes, make-up bags can be used to house survival kits, foam filled cushions become potential lifesavers in a flood and lighting offers a beacon to those looking for shelter.Fashioned from used and discarded tarps and market bags, this weatherproof range will withstand global warming and stay looking good throughout unseasonal monsoons.
Here are some pictures of the exhibition we participated in! We created some products for the End of the World Souvenir Shop at Headquarters Gallery behind Lupa, 55 High
Street Northcote.
Hope you like them.
